January 11th, 2017

Break out of those winter blues and attend the Idaho Laugh Fest 2017 from Thursday, January 12th, to Sunday, January 15th.

After the week of weather that Boise has endured, what better way to relieve some stress than with some good laughs?

Fortune Feimster is the headliner for the 4th annual Idaho Laugh Fest this weekend. The comedian made her start on “Chelsea Lately” as a performer and writer. She’s made appearances on numerous TV shows, including “Two Broke Girls,” “Glee,” “Drunk History,” and “The Mindy Project.” Fortune Feimster also had a comedy special on Comedy Central.

That’s not all! There will be 60 comics, 16 shows, and 6 workshops during this four-day event. The events will be spread across three venues: Liquid Laughs, The Balcony Club, and the Egyptian Theatre.

There will be a mix of both improv and stand-up, with amateurs and professional comics performing.

New to the Idaho Laugh Fest this year is the screening of two comedy films (in conjunction with the Boise Film Festival!). Both films will be screened at the Egyptian on Friday, January 13th, and Saturday, January 14th, at 9pm for $5. Both films are rated PG-13.

If you want to try your hand at tickling the funny bone, then sign up for a workshop on Saturday. Learn how to create compelling stories from your own life in the Storytelling workshop at 12pm. Always wanted to have your own podcast? The Podcast Recording workshop at 2pm will teach you! There are six workshops available. The workshops will be held at JUMP from 10am to 2pm, and all workshops are $10. See the full list of workshops and buy tickets here.
