This event is perfect for those who want to educate themselves, but while being entertained!

You’ll have the chance to see the Discovery Center’s current Planet Shark: Predator or Prey traveling exhibit.

Visitors will be able to view shark models cast from real animals, an extraordinary collection of real teeth and jaws, and extremely rare fossils.

You won’t want to miss the collaborative in-house exhibit collaboration by the Discovery Center and SUEZ: H2Whoa!

This immersive exhibition focus on water science, by addressing such fun questions as what household item uses the most water or which animal can survive months without any water?

Try your hand at racing with Proof Eyewear. The local business will be hosting a Sea Creature Pinewood Derby. You can purchase your derby cars when you buy tickets and pick them up to craft your creature. You’ll be competing to win a prize for fastest or most creative car. There’s only 30 race spots available!

Enjoy a cold one from Powderhaus Brewing while noshing on sushi dumplings from Genki Takoyaki and enjoying tunes from the Red Light Challenge. You can also view a showing of “Sharknado,” presented by the Boise Film Festival.

Ready to learn? The Discovery Center staff will have shark dissections, while the
Boise Fire Department will present on water rescue & safety.

Paul Primus of Boise Whitewater Wave Tech will discuss the importance of Boise’s Whitewater Wave, while Boise State Paleontologists will have a presentation about “When Boise Was Underwater.”

Tickets are $20 for adults 21 and over, and derby cars are $10 each. You can learn more about the event and buy tickets here!
