Looks like the Hoppie Building’s First Friday event is spreading down the avenue with the creation of Vista Bench First Friday! Boise’s Energize Our Neighborhoods has joined forces with Vista merchants who have been meeting to discuss promoting the local businesses to create the monthly event.

Vista Bench First Friday is a great way to explore the neighborhood and check out deals

Utilizing #VistaBenchFirstFriday on social media, the charter members of the new Boise Vista Neighborhood Association are offering specials and activities to the neighborhood while reaching out to other businesses.

What does the Vista Bench have to offer this Friday?

  • Quinn’s Restaurant & Lounge (1005 S. Vista) wants to see your selfies! Visit participating First Friday businesses, post on Facebook or Instagram with #VistaBenchFirstFriday, and show your server or bartender your selfie for 10 percent off your meal or a half-priced appetizer.

  • Canine Design (2621 W. Camas St., just off Vista behind Quinn’s) is giving out doggie bags full of treats at a pup-friendly meet-and-greet. Show that you’ve visited two other participants with social media, business cards or the #VistaBenchFirstFriday passport and you might win a great t-shirt or salon spa services for your four-legged friend. Book an appointment and get 20 percent off.

  • Moxie Java (1122 S. Vista in the Vista Village) is back and ready to party on First Friday! They’re offering 50 cents off a small drip coffee or hot cocoa. Check out their sister business, Blimpie, next door for $1 off a sub or wrap (excluding any $6 deals). Big changes are coming to the space, so make sure you keep an eye out in the next few weeks.

  • Erykane Art Tattoo (1522 S. Vista in the Hoppie Building) has artists’ specials for April. See their Facebook page for more details. A $50 deposit is required when booking an appointment.

  • The BENCH salon & gifts (1516 S. Vista in the Hoppie Building) is discounting $20 off highlights when booked at the event. Get 10 percent off in the gift shop when you show your social media with #VistaBenchFirstFriday. As always, get a sticker and visit About Face and Zen Riot to win a prize package from all three businesses.

  • Brewer’s Haven (1795 S. Vista) is excited to join in and wants you to take advantage of $3 pints and $10 growler fills.

  • D.L. Evans and Wells Fargo are offering parking space for anyone attending the event.

First Fridays on the Boise Bench

There are many more businesses joining for the May event, so be sure to keep watching #VistaBenchFirstFriday and checking their Facebook page! Own a business and want to join in? Interested entrepreneurs are invited to attend the next meeting on April 7th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Spark! Strategic Solutions (2417 W. Bank, suite 202).
