Calling all wine lovers! You can enjoy some delicious vino surrounded by fellow wine enthusiasts on Friday, August 18th, at the 20th Annual Winefest, and on Saturday, August 19th, at the Idaho Wine Run. Idaho Wine Run Boise Idaho

20th Annual Winefest 

Join the Basque Block in celebrating the 20th Annual Winefest on Friday, August 18th, at 5:30pm. You'll be able to sip on more than 100 wines from all over the world, and even some local Idaho ones! Each ticket comes with a commemorative wine glass, pintxo (appetizer) tickets, and the opportunity to win some great prizes. You'll also be able to enjoy performances by Oinkari Basque Dancers. Tickets are $45 each, with the funds going to support the Basque Museum and Boiseko Ikastola, the only Basque language preschool in the US. You can find tickets here!

Idaho Wine Run

Strap on your running shoes, because it's time for the Idaho Wine Run! On Saturday, August 19th, you can combine your love for wine and running at this Treasure Valley tradition. Harvest is the second Idaho Wine Run to occur this year, with the first, Summer Nights, having taken place June. The Harvest race this year will take place at Ste. Chapelle Winery in Caldwell. No matter your level of athleticism, you'll find an event for you. You can run or walk each event. There are also night events, for those who aren't morning people or who would like to complete multiple events. If you race during both times of the day, you can get 50 percent off of the lower priced event. You must register for both morning and night at the same time to get the discount to apply.

  • 1/2 Marathon at 9am for $60

  • 10K at 9:45am for $45

  • 5K at 10am for $35

  • 1/2 Marathon Night Cap at 5:30pm for $60

  • 10K Night Cap at 6pm for $45

  • 5K Night Cap at 6:15pm for $35

There will be plenty of Idaho wines to sample after you finish your run, while you enjoy live music. You only need one wine sampling wristband for both the morning and evening events. Click here to find out more information and register for the run.
