You can do the usual Halloween activities, like trick or treating or bar hopping, but we've found three unique ways for you to celebrate Halloween in Boise this year.

Barbacoa Disney Halloween

Calling all Disney fans! Barbacoa is hosting the ultimate experience for Disney lovers. Come dressed as your favorite Disney character, whether that be a charming princess or a cunning sorcerer, and see if you can win a prize! The event kicks off at 4pm on Saturday, October 28th, and continues into Sunday, October 29th, at 2am. If you want to try your hand at winning the costume prize, make sure you're at Barbacoa at 9pm to qualify! You can find more information about the event here.

Boo at the Zoo

If you're on the hunt for a more family-friendly event, then head to Zoo Boise on Saturday, October 28th, for Boo at the Zoo. From 10am to 5pm, you'll be able to wander the zoo, gathering candy from costumed characters, enjoying numerous games, and posing for photo ops! Come dressed to impress, as there will be a costume contest for all ages!
Tickets are $7 for adults, $4.50 for seniors (62 and over), $4.25 for kids (3 to 11), with infants 2 and under free. All Zoo Boise members get in free. Keep an eye out for more information, including a schedule for the Halloween-themed animal enrichments. Learn more here.

Boise Depot Halloween Open House

Head to the top of the hill to experience Halloween at a Boise landmark. The Boise Depot will be open on Sunday, October 29th, from 11am to 5pm for free tours of the historic building. The beautiful building was built in 1925 and is an institution in the City of Trees. At 1pm on Sunday the 29th, you can take a Frightening Tour of the Depot. Combine a love for history with a love for frights at this unique event. You can find more information here.
