If you’re one of those anti-Christmas before Thanksgiving people, stop reading here. But if you can’t wait for the trees to be lit and carols to be sung, then you’ll want to head to Kris Kringle and Campfire Carols at the Village at Meridian.

The Village at Meridian’s festive event is on Friday, November 18, at 6:30pm. If you love a down-home country feel, then you’ll love the Kris Kringle and Campfire Carols.

Country star Charley Jenkins will be present to serenade attendees with festive tunes and hopefully a few of his own songs. This Utah native competed on NBC’s “Nashville Star” and has released four albums. You can learn more about the artist here.

Jenkins won’t be the only celebrity in attendance, Santa Claus himself will be there! The man in the red suit will be on hand to have photos taken with him. You’ll also enjoy a tree lighting to kick off the holiday season. The event starts at 6:30pm at the Village at Meridian’s Fountain Square.

If you can’t make it out for the tree lighting or if you dislike country music, then maybe you’re a pet owner? If so, don’t let your favorite canine miss out on the festivities.

The Village at Meridian is hosting Paws and Claus Holiday Photos on Monday evenings from November 21st to December 19th. The event doesn’t say if the event is only dog-friendly, so why not bring all the family pets to this fun event?

Paws and Claus Holiday Photos will occur from 4pm to 7pm.

If you aren’t quite ready to get in the Christmas spirit, don’t worry. Keep checking back here for ideas on how to celebrate Thanksgiving in the Treasure Valley.
