Downtown Boise has so much to offer in a night life: dinner, dancing, and drinks. There are so many fun places to spend your time, but it’s nice to call one place your regular meeting spot. BoDo, the block of restaurants and bars between Front and Myrtle St. and 9th street and Capitol Boulevard, is that perfect place. Parking is easy (on the street or in the garage) and it’s just a quick walk to any fun destination. If you're in search of something to do, check out Solid and Liquid.

Solid Bar and Grill in BoDo

Get warmed up at Solid Bar and Grill's Half Price Happy Hour between 4pm and 6pm and enjoy comfort food at its finest. It doesn’t matter if you’re a carnivore, vegetarian, or are strictly vegan – Solid serves it all (including gluten-free fare). They’re kind of famous for The Defibrillator burger, but if you aren’t feeling like tempura battered bacon, it’s okay; you can enjoy the Portobello Sandwich, which is famous in its own right for its perfect texture. Because of Solid's location on 8th Street and you know you’ll be close to whatever plans you’ve made with friends, feel free to savor those fries.

If you’re looking for a place to wind down after a busy night out, Solid’s happy hour gets its second wind between 10pm and midnight.

Even better, head next door to Liquid to see a comedy show at 8pm and wander back for a night cap. Liquid Laughs is a 21 and up club that hosts big names in comedy and many of Boise’s own up-and-coming stars. Wednesday is open mic night, so if you’ve been working on your shtick, this is the place to try it out. Liquid even holds an annual competition in the summer to find Boise’s Funniest Person. If you’re chosen, you’ll get paired with a seasoned veteran who will help you prepare. You could win $1,000, so now’s the time to get working on your routine.

No matter what you decide to do on your night out, a trip to BoDo will result in delicious food and an eventful time.
